Why in GourmetVip - Gazpacho Gourmet

Envasados Lola is a cooperative from Cordoba which consists of five female partners that produces homemade typical Andalusian dishes such as Gazpacho Andaluz, Ajo Blanco (White Gazpacho) or Salmorejo Cordobés, and different gourmet products such as Green olive pâté with red piquillo peppers or Sofrito (Sautéed Cooking Base), among others.
 
This company was conceived in 1995, a year when the local sugar refinery San Rafael in Villarrubia (Córdoba) closed down leaving a lot of members from different families in the area without a job and with no other alternative than to move.
 
In view of this situation, a group of women from the area joined up around a business idea. The product to start from: sautéed cooking base. The two clear objectives to follow: the preservation, defence and promotion of theMediterranean Cuisine against the new eating habits and the lack of time to cook healthy, as well as working for the economical and business development of the area.
 
From the beginning of 1996 and up till now, they have been working hard in order to make their wishes come true. They go on innovating and adding new products to their range, with more than 30 right now, and they have also started commercializing their products in different European countries, in USA and in Japan.
 
Their work has been awarded with different prizes in Spain, among which we can mention:
Meridiana 1999 given by the Andalusian Women Institute
Best Food Spanish Industry 2006, Category Women in the business world, given by the Agriculture, Fishing and Food Ministry
Best Women's Initiative 2008, given by the Regional Agricultural and Fishing Ministry, Junta de Andalucía.
