Pure Iberian Bellota Ham Maldonado

Whole Ham Leg: 6-7 Kg.
· Appearance: A medium-size piece with a thin shank and black hoof. The outer side is covered with a thick layer of glossy fat. The inner side shows traces of white or bluish-grey fungal growth, an unmistakable feature of slow ageing in the cellar. · Ingredients: This hind leg of acorn-quality ("bellota" grade) is produced straight from pure breed Iberian pigs and has been very slightly salted. No preservatives. · These Iberian hams are rich in oleic acid (up to 60%) and a large amount of natural herb antioxidants, which all go to make this a very healthy foodstuff indeed. These hams have strong aromas and a sweet taste as they are not left in the salting rooms for too long. The minimum curing period is 24 months. · Presentation: the ham come individually wrapped with gauza and greaseproof paper to protect them in transit.
